About the Good Friday Appeal Volleyball Tournament
The Good Friday Appeal Volleyball Tournament has been a proud fixture on the Maroondah Volleyball calendar since 2020, bringing our volleyball community together to support a cause that makes a real difference.
What began as a small grassroots event, and although unable to run in 2021 due to COVID-19, our community returned stronger than ever, continuing to grow the event each year through the generosity, creativity, and enthusiasm of players, volunteers, referees, and supporters.
From social teams to competitive athletes, every participant plays a part in creating an inclusive, high-energy event dedicated to fundraising for the Good Friday Appeal.
Since its inception, the tournament has raised an incredible $77,884.92 for the Good Friday Appeal, including:
-
$25,432.32 in 2025
-
$20,213.55 in 2024
-
$14,250.15 in 2023
-
$9,292.90 in 2022 (return from COVID)
-
$8,696.00 in our inaugural year (2020)
Each year, 100% of funds raised go directly to the Good Friday Appeal, supporting life-saving care for children and families across Victoria.
We are incredibly proud of what our community has achieved and look forward to continuing this important tradition in 2026 and beyond.
