In 2020, the Southern Cross Cobras and the Croydon 36's Volleyball Clubs merged to become the Maroondah Cobras.  The Maroondah Cobras trains athletes and enters teams into the Volleyball Victoria State League, various other competitions and tournaments each year. 

 

The training year starts in January and runs through to the start of the Tournament season in September. Trainings are conducted on a Thursday night through a try-out and registration process in late January and early February.

In addition to new and returning players we are keen to recruit additional coaches, if you are interested please get in contact with us.

Are you wanting to take your volleyball to the next level?

Maroondah Cobras is a progressive & inclusive club, welcoming new and returning members.

Following team selections Maroondah Cobras will hold a club information and welcoming night, where members will receive their team kits for the season and have the opportunity to purchase any other club merchandise they wish. We also strongly encourage players to consider at this stage if they wish to purchase a "Pink Round" playing shirt. You have the opportunity to add a dedication to your top.

2025
Season

Registrations and Volleyball Victoria Membership:

 

Players need to be registered with a VV - Gold membership, and Coaches/Assistants/Managers/Volunteers need to be registered with a VV - White membership.

Player and Coach registrations for 2025 must be completed by the 30th April 2025.

History - Croydon 36's

In 2014 we had one men’s team.
 

In 2015 we had one women’s team, who made it through to the finals.  2 of our players were runners up in Volleyball Victoria’s MVP award  Division 3.


In 2016 we had one women’s, one men’s and one junior girls teams, all making it through to the finals.


In 2017 we had one Division 2 Women’s, one Division 3 Women’s and one Men’s team.

In 2018 we have one Division 3 Women's, one Division 3 Men's and one U17 Junior Girls team.

​

In 2019 we had 2 Juniors Girls Teams, with our Red Team coming runners up in the Grand Final.

​

In 2020 the Croydon 36's and the Southern Cross Cobras merged to become the Maroondah Cobras.
